Sarah Ioannides is a female conductor dedicated to furthering the positive impact of classical music through innovative projects, community engagement, education, and championing new works; in addition to traditional and vibrant symphonic performances. Hailed as one of the leading young British/American conductors in the world today, Ioannides conducting engagements span five continents (including guest appearances with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra Nationale de Lyon, Flemish Radio Orchestra in Amsterdam, Orquesta Sinfonica Municipal de Caracas, Cyprus State Orchestra and the Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra, among others). Music Director of the Spartanburg Philharmonic Orchestra since 2005, Ioannides’ successful tenure is characterized by cultivating new partnerships, and establishing effective community relationships through creative programming.
Natacha Poggio assisted Sarah Ioannides in crafting the vision, style and photography, as well as the information architecture for her revamped website. Sarah’s artistic vision and her passionately felt thoughts on the sustainability of classical music in today’s society are reflected by themes of nature, seascapes and the moving beauty of our environment. Natacha acted as art director for the project as a whole, and partnered with former student Nikki Lee (HAS’2012) to create the design comps and develop the website in WordPress.
